LA JOLLA, Calif. — The 36-hole of the U.S. Open cut fell at 7-over 149 with 80 players making it to the weekend. This marks the ninth over-par cut in the last 10 tournaments on the PGA TOUR, with the lone exception being the AT&T Classic, where even-par 144 made it to the weekend. The only under-par 36-hole cut on the PGA TOUR this year came at the FBR Open, where 70 players made the cut at 2-under 140. At this point last year, the TOUR had five 36-hole cuts fall under par.
