“Spanish guard Rudy Fernandez has suffered an injury to his right hand, according to a news source,” according to a report in THE PORTLAND TRIBUNE. “The extent of Fernandez’s injury won’t be known until MRI results are released. Fernandez, 23, has been heavily wooed of late by the Trail Blazers, who acquired his NBA rights in the 2007 draft. The Blazers are hoping to negotiate a deal that would be the 6-6 Fernandez to Portland before next season, despite the large buyout clause in his European contract. He is under contract to Joventut through 2011.
