For the first time in 10 years, the Indiana Pacers will play a preseason game in Fort Wayne, an early NBA home and now the host city of the D-League’s Mad Ants. On Oct. 10, Indiana plays Chicago, its first game at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum since facing Toronto in 1998.
Australia didn’t have injured superstar Penny Taylor for their semi-final against China but they blew out the Olympic hosts anyway 90-56. Taylor sprained her ankle in Australia’s quarter-final demolition of the Czech Republic two days ago but should take the court in the gold medal game against the United States. After receiving U.S. government approval, Iranian center Hamed Ehadadi has been cleared to sign with NBA teams, Yahoo! Sports has learned.
