With the possible exception of baseball, no sport has spawned more myths than college football. And by “spawned more myths” I mean “instigated more drunken brawls and Internet message board flame-throwing”. Chalk it up to over 100 years of tradition, deep-rooted loyalty to one’s alma mater and the noble ideals of student athletes playing purely for the love of the game (plus a postseason that seems to trigger more questions than answers at season’s end).
